It’s starting! The Ocean Cleanup begins removing plastic waste from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch
A 600-meter long pipe has started collecting the plastic waste that makes up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a huge floating pile of trash twice the size of Texas in the Pacific Ocean midway between San Francisco and Hawaii. It's a herculean task applauded by Bluewater which is on its own mission to rid the planet of single-use plastic bottles.
